Welcome to the Pryor Creek Golf Club Men’s League
On Tuesday and Thursday evenings our league of 24 teams plays golf in a fun and unique format. Teams are formed by and consist of Pryor Creek members. 12 teams are designated to play on Tuesday and the other 12 are designated for Thursday. Each team is allowed up to eight players. Beginning in May, four players from each team participate each week in our medal and match play format for points. (Players from the team that are not playing for points have the opportunity to play the opposite nine holes.) A three- night playoff, with the top six teams from each night competing, winds up the season in August.
The total cost for a league team is $550. At least 90% of this money is returned to the teams and players. This is broken down as a $150 sponsor fee and the $400 player’s fee ($50 per player x 8 players), although each team can decide how to divide the costs among themselves. There are no weekly fees to play league. (Carts are on your own if desired). The $550 your team pays covers all the weekly side pots. Every week there are cash prizes for individual low gross score, individual low net score, and a deuce pot. A flag prize on the par 3 holes is also up for grabs. Your fee also covers the dinners on fun nights and the season ending awards banquet. During fun nights there is usually a six-man event that costs $5/man and 100% of that money is paid back to the top finishers of that night’s event. During the awards banquet, money for points accumulated during the season, final league standings, and playoff results are paid back to the teams.
